A group of lifelong Tulsans, have announced the launch of a host of new features for AskMe TellMe, an iPhone and android application developed to give users achoice outside of generic daily deal apps and websites The new features, which aredriven by each user’s individual social network, location and need promise to makedeals more relevant to each user.
“How long am I really going to have to wait until Groupon has something otherthan Gap deals and horseback riding lessons?” says Jim Millaway, who is one of the co-founders. “I really want coupons relevant to me, close to me and based on my specificneed at that time. ”The app is available free for both iPhone and android. Once the app is downloaded the user has instant access to an inventory of coupons not just one daily deal.
The users can decide from the main coupon screen what they need from severaldifferent sections. meDaily is the featured deal of the day but the user can also selectmeSearch and meLocal. meSearch is a searchable index of all the coupons available inyour area, if you are looking for pizza then search for pizza. meLocal is a location drivenformat that allows you to see what deals are nearby.
Pushing it one step further you canalso ask questions of your friends across Facebook and twitter and the app will push theanswers back to your phone and tell you if there are any relevant deals. Toby Biolchini, co-founder, says “AskMeTellMe lets our users find exactly whatthey are looking for and what they need but it is also the holy grail of marketing for ourmerchant partners. Who else can reach your customers in real time, at the point ofconsumption, at an exact location, based on their specific need?”
We’re very excited to have AskMeTellMe at Social Media Tulsa Conference. You’ll be able to stop by and visit with the co-founders of the app, as well as see the app in action during their review. Get your ticket now!
