2011 #Tweet4toys is Wrapped!

#SMTulsa Tweet for Toys LogoThe second annual #Tweet4toys toy drive ended on December 13 after a series of successful Meetups and Tweetups

The hashtag was Tweeted 1,081 times and tweets came from all around the globe.  We certainly collected more toys than last year’s efforts, with over 100 toys collected at the very first #Eatuptweetup @TopThatPizza alone.

A special thanks to all of our meetup hosts and business partners this year.    The goal for next year will be more toys of course and a company to match tweets with funds.

Here’s how it works.   Company XYZ vows to match .50 – 1.00  per tweet (using the #Tweet4toys hashtag)  Up to a specific dollar amount.    ex: This year, $1.00 per tweet would cost a company $1,081.  If the company had set a limit of $1,000 the cost would only be $1,000 donation for the Salvation Army and would pay for a lot of toys and meals for Tulsa’s neediest families.

If you or someone you know would like to offer a match for #Tweet4toys 2012, please get in touch as soon as possible!  It’s never to early to plan for next year.
