On their blog today, Twitter announced a new Trademark and the new official symbol of Twitter. The New Twitter Bird.
Starting today you’ll begin to notice a simplified Twitter bird. From now on, this bird will be the universally recognizable symbol of Twitter. (Twitter is the bird, the bird is Twitter.) There’s no longer a need for text, bubbled typefaces, or a lowercase “t” to represent Twitter.
In addition to changing the bird on your website/blog. you’ll need to change your Twitter follow buttons on the sites you have.
To change your buttons or to ad them. Log in to your Twitter account, click on your profile. You’ll see the text. “You can also add Twitter to your site here.” You will then be taken to the Twitter resources page where you can access buttons for your website, widgets, and access to the official logos and icons.
